Zoo work is not the same as pouring an open driveway. Access is tighter, the edges have to meet what is already there, and the finish has to be useful for steady foot traffic. A clean broom finish matters here because this walkway needs traction and drainage, not a slick surface.
You can see the new concrete tied into the path around it, with straight joints, clean edges, and cleanup started around the slab. That kind of detail keeps the walkway from looking like a patch after everything is opened back up.
On public walkways, the small things are what people notice later. The grade needs to move water off the path, the forms need to hold the line, and the finish has to be timed right so the surface holds up to regular use.
