What mattered before the concrete arrived
Forms established the lines and elevations. Base material had to be shaped and compacted. Reinforcement and tie-ins had to be ready before placement. Around housing and parking areas, those steps also control how new pavement meets doors, sidewalks, curbs, and vehicle lanes.
Drainage was part of the layout rather than an afterthought. Parking and sidewalk concrete needs enough slope to move water without creating rough transitions for pedestrians or low areas beside the buildings.
Placement, edges, and site sequencing
The pour photos show why curb lines and perimeter details need attention while the concrete is workable. A broad parking section can look good in the middle and still fail the project if an edge sits high, a walk meets it poorly, or water is trapped along a curb.
The job also moved in stages so access and cleanup could stay manageable. That sequencing is normal for multi-area commercial and housing work: complete a prepared section correctly, protect it, then move to the next area.
